Our Work

Financial Coaching & Planning

Knowledge is power.

Financial capability is critical to economic stability, and skill-building can happen any where. Financial education should be informed by the latest financial information, techniques, and research in pedagogy, andragogy, and behavioral economics.

Midas' innovative Financial Confidence & Coaching Program helped Mass. residents develop new self-sustaining skills and tools to better manage their finances, create savings and assets, and access vetted resources and information. This helped them make better decisions, understand their options, realize their financial goals, and increase their long-term finances and assets. In 2016, as a result of a grant from the Foundation for Financial Planning, Midas expanded its Financial Confidence & Coaching Program to include free financial planning guidance and expertise from members of the Financial Planning Association of Massachusetts

Midas will no longer offering the Financial Confidence and Coaching Program effective February 28, 2018.

The strategic decision to close the program was a very difficult one given the importance and impact it had on the lives of those who participated in the program.

As one of the only program of its kind, the Financial Confidence and Coaching Program has served hundreds of clients skillfully helping to improve their financial health. Our client centered program design created a trusting, highly supportive and action-oriented relationship that resulted in clients making progress or reaching their self-defined financial goals.

Midas is thankful for our funders, partners and clients who have helped make this program possible. We look forward to continuing our work together in advocacy and asset and capacity building to create more prosperous communities across Massachusetts.

"Thank you…!! Our talks have been very fun and so enlightening. I feel much more financially savvy and ready to take on the future! You really went way above and beyond for me with these extra tips, and I so appreciate it! You are a great financial coach and also have some wonderful life-coach skills that come along with it! Thank you again for all your help and ideas, you have been such a joy to talk to!” Aries F. – ICS Graduate at Springfield Technical Community College
