Meet the Staff

  • Patrice Keegan

    Interim Executive Director

    For 35+ years Patrice Keegan has been building the capacity and effectiveness of nonprofits that improve the health and well-being of individuals and communities. As an Interim Executive Director Patrice works with Boards, Staff and other stakeholders to fine-tune missions, improve systems, recalibrate programs and budgets, reveal opportunities and tackle seemingly intractable challenges. She is adept at revitalizing organizational cultures, and skilled at fostering conditions that bring to life Gandhi’s belief that “A sign of a good leader is not how many followers you have but how many leaders you create.” Patrice has a Master in Public Administration degree from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government and a Bachelor of Liberal Arts in Extension Studies cum laude from Harvard University. She is a longtime Dorchester resident and a proud native of New Jersey.

  • Carolyn Brandes

    Deputy Director

    ​Carolyn Brandes is passionate about helping people realize their dreams.​ A Stanford graduate with MA from Carnegie-Mellon and JD from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, she owned a family law and mediation business and held community leadership roles. Carolyn served as Business Development lead at State Bar of Wisconsin, AED of Just Dane, COO of Massachusetts Immigrant & Refugee Advocacy Coalition, and COO of FirstGen Ahead. A former Girl Scout leader, she now mentors young adults in early career development.

  • Kenzi Martin

    Program Manager

    Kenzi Martin brings experience and passion to The Midas Collaborative. With a background in Cultural Anthropology and ongoing MBA studies, Kenzi addresses societal issues through innovative business practices. Her education provides insight into social, economic, and political systems within cultural contexts. Her diverse background includes US Navy IT service and HR experience. Kenzi enjoys volunteering, painting, and baking. ​Her dedication to social impact, strategic mindset, and collaborative approach make her an invaluable team asset.

  • Hunter Malone

    Program Associate

    Hunter (he/him) is a dedicated current student pursuing his Master of Education in Community Engagement from Merrimack College. Hailing from central Massachusetts, Hunter possesses a deep-rooted passion for queer education, acceptance, and identity development. ​His commitment to these areas stems from personal experiences and a desire to create positive change in society.​ This hands-on approach allows him to apply his knowledge in real-world settings, making a tangible impact on the lives of others.

Meet the Board

  • Dan Matloff, Chair

    Dan Matloff is a senior finance executive in the Boston biotech community, having served as consulting CFO for Cadena Bio, Jnana Therapeutics, Midori USA, Pandion Therapeutics, and Rheos Medicines; and VP Finance for Immunitas Therapeutics and Pyxis Therapeutics. Prior to consulting, Dan was CFO of TEM Capital, a private equity firm investing in renewable energy and materials; Inea International, a clean tech enterprise converting coal fly ash into high-quality cement; and 1366 Technologies, a solar tech start-up. Dan began his career at PWC, then served in roles of increasing responsibility at Thermo Fisher Scientific, Millennium Pharmaceuticals, and Hittite Microwave Corporation, a fabless semiconductor company. Dan is a CPA and holds a BS in Accountancy from Bentley University.

  • Alex Melikan, Treasurer

    Alex Melikan has over a decade of experience in real estate finance and asset management.​ He leads nationwide business development in affordable housing as Director for TCAM and MRI Real Estate Software. Alex has provided asset management services, supported transactions, and managed consulting engagements for affordable housing stakeholders. Previously, he was an Asset Management Associate at Boston Financial Investment Management and REIT Analyst at AEW Capital Management. Alex holds an MBA from Babson College, a dual graduate-level certificate in Real Estate Finance and Commercial Real Estate from Boston University, and a BS from UMass Dartmouth.

  • Anthonina Fenelon, Secretary

    Anthonina is the Director of STASH and a HUD Certified Homeownership Advisor with Massachusetts Affordable Housing Alliance (MAHA) in Dorchester, Massachusetts. As a community activist for maternal and infant health, she aims to help families reach another goal – homeownership. Anthonina manages the First-Generation match savings program teaches the First Time Homebuyers, Homeowners Landlord, and Condo courses educating participants on tips that will allow them the necessary tools and insight to be successful in homeownership. She is a proud Boston native and fluent in Haitian Creole.

  • Michael D. Andelman, Board Member

    ​As a seasoned financial educator and advocate, Michael has directly helped people build assets and avoid predatory practices.​ He owns Circle Taxes p/b TheEducated.com, conducting objective reviews on taxes, credit building, budgeting, loans, and bookkeeping for individuals and businesses. At fourteen, Michael started his first business, employing youth and stay-at-home parents. His entrepreneurial successes have enabled non-business-minded individuals to become fiscally responsible. As Chief Creative Officer of Massachusetts Jump$tart Coalition, he created the Massachusetts Financial Regatta, a sailing and personal finance competition for high schoolers. Michael has been an awarded financial educator and FDIC Money Smart Alliance member since 2008.

  • Connie O'Hare, Board Member

    Connie owns Beacon Advisors LLC, a Boston-based strategy firm serving top executives and investors across large sectors of the U.S. economy. An influential strategist for over 30 years, her work has been featured in The Wall Street JournalThe New York Times, and Investment News. Previously, Connie was a Managing Director at Mercer Management Consulting. She continues to serve on the editorial advisory board of MIT Sloan Management Review and as a member of The Winsor School Corporation. Connie earned her B.A with Honors in Philosophy from William & Mary, where she was awarded a scholarship to the University of St. Andrews and elected to Phi Beta Kappa. She earned her M.S. from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. 

  • Emilio Dorcely, Board Member

    Emilio has three decades of community development experience and innovative thinking on structural change in New York, DC, and Boston. ​As CEO of Urban Edge, he leads efforts on affordable housing, economic justice, family wealth building, and anti-displacement counseling.​ He oversees neighborhood improvements and housing construction. Urban Edge maintains over 1,400 affordable rental homes, provides support services, and offers homeownership programs. It's located in Jackson Square, where Boston's Latin Quarter meets its historically Black neighborhood. Before joining Bridge Street Development Corporation, Emilio worked in philanthropy, supporting initiatives for Communities of Color and low-income urban residents. Born in Haiti and raised in New York City, he holds a JD from Iowa's College of Law.
