It’s time to take a closer look into the crystal ball of savings!

The Midas Collaborative is proud to host the annual Match Gala open to the public to celebrate the organization’s decades of success as we prepare to expand our matched-savings programs. In celebration of new approaches to advance the financial capability of families and individuals, we are highlighting the following awardees whose work continues to defy what it means to be a leader in helping to close the wealth gap in Massachusetts:

Cambridge Housing Authority offers the Work Force Matched Savings Program to the youth residents living in its portfolio. This program offers comprehensive support, delivered in a culture of high expectations, over a long period of time, helping students and families transition successfully from middle school to high school, and to position themselves for post-secondary success.

Rep. Ayanna Pressley is an activist, a legislator, a survivor, and the first woman of color to be elected to Congress from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. She recently reintroduced the American Opportunity Accounts Act, which would create a national Baby Bonds program. Through this policy, every child would receive an initial $1,000 investment at birth, plus annual deposits of up to $2,000, with the largest investments for children from households with the lowest incomes. As adults, participants can use the funds to begin building economic security and wealth through purchasing a home, starting a small business or paying for postsecondary education.

Thank you to our generous sponsors:

And special thanks to our vendors:

Thank you for supporting Midas!

The Midas Collaborative relies on the generosity of its donors and sponsors to continue the important work of building financial capability across Massachusetts. In addition to working with other non-profits to offer and manage matched-savings programs, Midas is fully engaged in responding to and providing input on a range of issues that can provide economic benefit to low- and moderate- income people across the Commonwealth. We need your help to continue our important work. Every donation makes a difference.
